eConstruct: EU project 2000-2002
I had a great experience by taking part in the EU-funded eConstruct project that ran from early 2000 till early 2002. E-procurement and e-business in the building industry.
Masters thesis: ceXML - an XML vocabulary for building and civil engineering
I did my masters thesis work (Dutch: afstuderen) on the eConstruct project, the first half year of the project to be exact. A reasonable amount ended up in eConstruct in the end, I'm quite happy about it actually :-)
eConstruct infrastructure
Short description of the server side stuff of eConstruct: taxonomyserver, catalogueserver.
bcxml software
I've made some of the software used for eConstruct's infrastructure. Here's the lot of it.
LexiCon information collection
Link to my collection of LexiCon information. The LexiCon was pretty central to what we did in eConstruct and I had a lot of involvement with it.
Final eConstruct demonstration
Powerpoint sheets shown during the final demonstration. At the end, there are screenshots of the applications.
Requirements on the taxonomy
Some musings halfway through the project on the content of the taxonomy. Just looking at the problem from the point of view of the catalogues that use the taxonomy.
Extreme programming summary
In eConstruct I started looking into extreme programming as a programming methodology. I didn't get around to using a lot of it, but it had influence. I've especially used the unit tests idea quite a lot, adding much quality to some of my software results.
Docbook: tool I used for most documentation
Docbook is an XML documentation standard I used a lot in "eConstruct":.. and in my masters thesis.
