Slow weblog

Hrmphf. The last addition I made to this weblog was exactly a month ago. Not that there wasn't anything interesting to write about, but I didn't put myself to it. Also I've been thinking about restructuring my site and about which stuff goes where.

A good publisher defines itself by what it refuses to publish, as well as by the value it adds during the editorial process, and the visibility it gives through marketing and distribution. (Tim O'Reilly, near the end). This is about the publishing business, but I liked the opening words, which in my opinion are also applicable to weblogs: a weblog defines itself both by what it publishes and by what it refuses to publish.

But the editorial (read: my) added value is also important. Currently it are "only" individual posts that are found through google, there is no regular bunch of readers that I know of (apart from Maurits). But once I start writing on the topic of ICT in the construction industry in a much more focused way (for instance) there might be some added value in what I write down.

But mostly: it is fun to do!
