I just found a new blog to follow, from Evan Lenz who regularly posts some nice quotes from book he's read. One quote that I liked especially was the following:

I learned that you should feel when writing, not like Lord Byron on a mountain top, but like a child stringing beads in kindergarten, happy, absorbed and quietly putting one bead on after another.

There's truth in here. I'm putting piece after piece in my dissertation and suddenly my professor started making the equivalent of happy sounds :-) It suddenly really starts to look like something.
